Long story, kinda short...
MIL and FIL go to the beach every summer, her three kids and families, minus sisters DH, but that's another story... We have been able to go a few times, but the nature of DH's job keeps us from being able to commit to anything, every year. We tell them this, have for the past 8 years, and he's told them before we were married. If we can go great, but if not sorry, we don't know in December what's happening next July.
So today she texts that the trip is booked with all the details, dates, location ect. Then 20 minutes later we get a follow up text. We have said over and over we can't commit, wish we could ect. but it just seems like she won't accept it...
Also, please let me know if you never want to hear or read about "Florida summer vacation" again because you just really aren't interested. I don't want you to feel like I'm harping on it. The beach is a place we love and maybe just not somewhere you want to go. I'd rather know how you feel so I can not pester you any more if it's not something your interested in. If it's the not knowing your schedule, that's one thing. If you just really aren't interested then I just need to stop bothering you guys.
So, in an effort to make this a short post, does this strike anyone as odd? Or does she just seem like she's being direct and I need to not read too much into it?
