Is it weird?

The last two times my mother has texted me it has been a single sentence: I love you to the moon.


Mom likes to rewrite history in her head about how I grew up. She wasn't horrible, but she wasn't affectionate either. I have zero memory of her ever playing with me, coloring, bath time, or reading to/with me. The fact that I don't remember any of that suggests to me at very least that it was a rare occasion, if it ever happened at all.


So, I'm wondering if I'm being overly sensitive, or something, when I find these texts weird.


I'm on my phone so can't link, but as a brief background, she's in a TO for spilling beans about a c-section date. I haven't told her not to contact me, just that I am taking space. I've BH'd the texts.
