My inlaws never say the love word. They never even say I love you. The last time I saw them, Feb 14, 2015, MIL showed up at our house and kept demanding to my husband that he owes her. I told her finally, because I only finally realized it then, after more than two decades of being with my husband, that my MIL only demands that my husband do what she says under the excuse that he owes her. She never ever says because she loves him. So, I said to her, "why don't you just tell him that you want him to visit you because you love him." She refused to answer and she refused to do this. To this day, she has never said it.
Is this just my MIL? or if you look back over the time with your evil ones, does the evil one avoid that word? Ironically, MIL hugs everyone! She won't say the word love, but she will physically hug you! Ick!
