im 35 weeks pregnant and i feel like i can pop anyday now. the doctor said my boy is gonna come early because of how big he is. this is me and my DH first baby and the problem is his Mom my MIL. She has been trying to control our choices since the day we announced our pregnacy. shes disrespected every wish weve said even after we constantly say no and mean NO. She takes advantage of the fact that we are first time parents to shove her oppinion at us. i wanted to try a natural vaginal delivery with delayewd clamping and she laughed in my face because delaying the cord clamping to her was pointless. my husband backed me completly. she told us she didnt wanna stare at the placenta while he was out. me and my DH looked at eachother confused and i replied you dont have to we are having a private birth. all hell seemed to break lose.. she instaly started speed talking about how i was NOT gonna take birth away from her and when i said we arent taking it away from you. you never had a choice to be there. she started screaming at my husband that i was ruining the family and she needed to be there because she needed to be apart of it. i told her again no it was private and she could come when we were ready for visitors. at this point she was in a full out sob and told his entire family i was banning her from being there after telling her multiple times no she still tells everyone shes coming when i confronted her and told her she wasnt end of story she said she would be there regardless and would come back to the room and someone would have to carry her out. i told her npot to ruin this moment for us and she said she would not be in the delivery room if she got to hold the baby and get a skin on skin. needless to say we already changed hospitals and privated our birth. my question is has any ever had this MIL drama before and ever heard of grandma skin to skin? i think she thinks this is her child?!?! what else should i do?
