Ok, from my siggy you can tell that my kids range from 5 to 21. Well, the 21 year-old DS called today to say his GF is pregnant. He's living halfway aross the country where he goes to university.
I'm at a loss. I said all the supportive things to DS, but I'm scared shitless--for him and about being an unintentional hag MOO or MIL. I've met this girl once, and she seems very nice. But I don't know where to go from here. I have so many concerns, some of them selfish, I readily admit. How do I act? How can I be supportive without being intrusive? Am I able to address any of my concerns with DS without crossing boundaries?
I know he's an adult. I was fully adulting at that age. But DH and I are still very involved in his life (paying for college tuition, flying him home for breaks and summer, etc.) Help!
