MIL emailed her entire family to let them know one of my family members passed away. In this same email she mentioned that my parents and siblings were all in town to celebrate my LO's first birthday. This is half true...my parents did come into town for my daughter's birthday, but my sisters were actually visiting for an entirely different reason and intended to leave before her birthday. Also, there was never any party planned at this time.
It's driving me nuts that, due to MIL's email, all of my DH'S siblings are probably under the impression that MY family had a birthday party for my baby that they were not invited to. I'm tempted to send an email to everyone calling out my MIL and clarifying the situation...do you think I should do that or should I just let it go?
Edit to add: MIL was aware of the reason for my sisters' visit, but maybe she forgot?

MIL told family a lie, should I correct her?
