Absurd Drama (SIL & MIL). Update pag 13.

I haven't had any problems with my inlaws...until last weekend. I'm looking for advice. English is not my first language, sorry for any mistake.

Background: My inlaws live two hous away. There are FIL, MIL, SIL (17 yr) and 4 teenager BILs ( 16 yr, 14 yr twins and 12 yr). My husband and I are in our middle twenties and have 3 year old Ds and 16 month old twin girls.

DH has been on a work trip last two weeks and will be home next weekend. I've been alone with the kids. Last weekend my inlaws were coming to our town (one of my BILs had a soccer game) and wanted to see the kids so we met for breaskfast at a local place. My SIL is severely overweight and is trying to lose weight per her doctor recommendation. I noticed she ate a plain omelette and coffe for breakfast instead of bagels or pancakes. Well, all went OK and they left to go to the soccer game. They were supposed to have lunch with a friend of FIL and his family but shortly after noon MIL called me because said friend had an emergency with one of their kids and wouldn't be able to have lunch with them. Mil asked if they can come to our house and have lunch with me and the kids. I said yes alghough I was a little pissed because I've been crazy lately with three toddlers and was planning to eat a sandwich and then have a nap during my kids nap time. I now regret saying yes. But whatever, I wanted to make it easy and also wanted to have enough food for my teenager bils who eat a lot. I served a big pan of pulled pork, a tray of buns, homemade coleslaw, a tray of carrots and a bowl of chips for the teenagers to munch. They arrived and SIL barely ate anything, but I didn't give a second thought, I was chasing around my twins lol. When they left, MIL gave me a side eye and said: "Well I guess we'll be serving a good ole lobster this Christmas" (I'm allergic to shellfish). I said what? and she replied it was very rude not having anything for SIL so she can eat and keep her diet. I was shocked. I mumbled: "well, there were carrots", and SIL yelled "I'm not a rabbit". I can tell my FIL was surprised and ashamed but said nothing. They all left.

Next day I talked to DH and the bitch had already complained to him!! She had sent texts to him saying I didn't feed SIL!  DH said they were irreasonable, and he will talk to them when he's home. But I'm seeing red. I'm very angry and I don't want to see them for a while. Should I say something to MIL and SIL or let DH manage the issue? This situation is beyond absurd, I can't believe this happened!

Thank you for reading.
