Parents Anniversary question - am I wrong or are they?

So, first, I know I need to step back from my parents and I'm working on it.

But, their anniversary was last week, and apparently I didn't praise them enough.

They put my youngest on the bus for me because of my work schedule.  So I dropped her off that morning and was running late.  I didnt say anything to them in the morning because I knew I would be giving them their present in the afternoon.

Then I went to work.

After work, went back to their house to pick up the kids (who get off the bus there) and wished them Happy Anniversary, and gave them their card and a $50 visa gift card so they could treat themselves to dinner at a restaurant of their choice.  They were planning on going out to dinner that night, so we didnt stay long.  My mom was acting weird.  Pointed out all the cards she got.  Showed me some flowers her friends gave her at breakfast.  I commented how nice they were and we left.

A week later she tells me that she was hurt that we didnt do more.  That I didnt say Happy Anniversary in the morning or post about it on Facebook.  I WAS AT WORK ALL DAY.  Of course my sister posted about it, which just gave them more fuel.

So, am I a bad daughter?  (I don't think so)

And, what can I say to explain my stance to her?
