My in laws are horrible with money and are always asking DH to pay for things. He currently is on their car insurance and phone plan because we are waiting out the policy (rather than pay early cancellation fees I am on my parents as well for this reason since we recently married). I saw a text today from my FIL that he needs to pay $300 for his l portion of this months bills... His car is 15+ years old not a sport vehicle or anything (an impala) with no prior accidents or damage to the vehicle. He has a smart phone but the data is fairly limited as MIL uses almost all of it every month. They always ask him to help them out he never asks for it in return. EXAMPLE We went to his cousins wedding in October in another state had to stay in a hotel and they told us we wouldn't have to pay for anything. His moms card "wouldn't" work so we foot the bill for the two rooms. His sister also feels she pays too much for her phone bill as well. Does this sound like they are just charging him extra so that they don't have to pay as much or does that amount seem legit?
