Everyone saw my baby before I did

So, I'm not really looking for advice, I know exactly what I need to do. I'm here to feed all your llamas and to apply for a spot on worst of delivery room dramas.

So here is what happened.

I had a schedualed C section for Tuesday 04/12. My SM and FOO stayed with my older kids and got them to and from school and took care of them for the duration of my hospital stay, etc etc. So prior to c section, we told everyone we wanted NO visitors on the first day. FOO and SM got to bypass this rule only because they had my older kids, and I wanted them to come that night. I told them to WAIT until we called them to let them know we were ready to visit. They said ok no problem.

C cection time arrives, I have my daughter at 4:44 pm, get a brief glance at her before they whisk her away to get cleaned off in the recovery room. Dh follows her per my request. While they are finishing my surgery, DH takes a pic of the baby and texts it to select family members, including SM. I arrive back at the recovery room, nurses are still taking measurments and what not of baby, so I ask DH for my phone so I can see the picture he sent. After i look I click on facebook, and the very first thing I see is a picture of MY baby, that I only saw for 1 second, that I haven't even gotten to hold yet on SM's facebook page, and then a text saying we are on our way. As the nurse hands me my baby I am livid. I tell the nurse to NOT let anyone back to see me until I am ready, and she says ok. I am freaking out, still numb, can't focus due to the meds, itchy as hell from the meds, and also puking. So i try not to worry about it and focus on bonding and establishing breastfeeding. I think ok well the Facebook thing sucks but I'll deal with it later, they can just sit in the waiting room until later. Not even 10 minutes from the time i arrived in the recovery room, roughly 5 minutes after i tell the nurses not to let anyone in, and about 2 minutes after starting breastfeeding the first time, my girls and SM and FOO come waltzing in my room. I am completely dumbfounded. I can hardly string 2 sentences together and trying to focus on carrying a conversation is next to impossible. My head starts spinning and I start vomiting more frequently.

I don't remember much of what actually happened during this time, because you know, i literally JUST came out of a major surgery, but here is what I do remember. I had to hand over the baby to dh due to excessive vomiting and dizziness. My older girls were being just children so I don't blame them, but I remember fussing at them repeatedly for bouncing around and it was making me extremely anxious. SM hogged the baby the second she got the chance and propped herself, FOO and older girls up for picture after picture. DH was trying to help me holding my vomit bucket, put cold washcloths on my forhead etc. Here is what I don't remember. I DON'T remember the look on my ODDs faces when they saw their baby sister for the first time. I don't remember them holding her for the first time because that happened while a nurse was checking my incision and changing my pad from all the blood being spewed from my body. There are pictures of my girls holding her for the first time though...on SMs facebook page. I don't remember how long they were there, because time literally stood still for me at this point. I do remember my FOO looking at me repeatedly and mouthing I'M SO SORRY multiple times.

So they did eventually leave the recovery room, only to be guided directly to the main room i would eventually stay in. I know the main question now probably is HOW was this even allowed by the hospital to happen? Well, technically it wasn't suppose to. As it turns out, one of the nurses.was related to SM and just happened to be walking by the second they got here, so of course she just walked them on in to my recovery time. SM bragged about this of course, pictures to follow. It took the first nurse I spoke to finally coming back to kick them out of my room, where they just ended up in the other room. I just got home tonight, still on pain meds and barely able to focus, but I know I needed to get this all out to help me process it and so I don't forget it. Needless to say my FOO and SM are going on a LONG to.
