Ok, so I'm mostly posting this for my DH. He's carefully banned himself from his phone at the moment so he won't start spewing venomous words.
So his parents had been out east for a couple weeks, and we knew they were coming back home today. We were sitting having pleasant conversation with my sister and family when what to our wondering eyes did appear? My in laws meandering along our fence toward our front door. Uninvited. Unannounced (unless you count the fact that we knew they were flying back some time today... which as my sister said: "I gotta be honest. I was totally expecting them when you said they were flying in today." I guess if you have to be crazy, at least it's nice to be predictably so?)
My husband swore, got up, stuck his head out the door and said "What?!"
His father turned on his heels, cussed, and was gone.
His mother said something outside (I didn't hear, and he's so livid right now he can't remember what it was) then pushed her way in. Gave our eldest a hug and a kiss, kissed the infant, hugged me while I was standing there in panic mode trying not to over-rule his rudeness and tell them to of course come in and join us. (His parents. DWIL rule #1! But so hard for me!)
I failed a bit as I asked her how their flight was. She says "Everything was good..." Then basically takes her leave.
