After talking with my therapist, he suggested I send another message to address it. I don't have another appointment soon, so I wanted to get some advice on what to do next. I sent this:
"I'd like to move past this, so next time we visit there won't be any issues between us. It's been bothering me that you said I posted something that belittled what you believe. I would never intentionally do that regardless of our difference in beliefs, so I'd like a chance to know what the offending post was so I can understand where we crossed lines. I've gone through my history, and I can't see what you referenced."
FIL hasn't responded, although it shows he saw it within 30 min. So I don't know what to do. Dh's family is getting together for easter and he wants us to go. I don't feel comfortable going with the way things are. Normally, we would stay with them. As it stands, I feel resentful that FIL essentially attacked my character without backing up his accusations, and is now ignoring me.
