Hi all,

My SIL and her family are visiting this week. My DH and I have 2 yr old and a 6 month old. My SIL is a self proclaimed expert parent filled with criticisms of me (behind my back to DH) and unsolicited advise. She also is aggressively pulls my 2 year old out of my arms and hoggs her the entire time we are with them. My DH is her younger brother and has a difficult time standing up to her. We've been to the beach 3 mornings in a row with them. this is my families first time going to the beach. For three days I watched my SIL play in the water with my 2yr old daughter and my husband just wades in the water next to them. When it come time to change her or feed her my SIL insists on doing it. I stayed under the umbrella and watched our baby the whole time. I've been a little bummed that I had not yet ever Experienced playing with my toddler in the water. But I kept telling myself to be charitable and that my SIL will only be here a week. Today just before leaving the beach I finally got a brief chance to take my 2 yr old into the water for 5 mins. Upon exiting the water my SIL came running up with a towel and grabbed her from me again. At this point I became irritated.

Would this bother you? Any advice?
