Long background with MIL. It was very crappy but I won't bore you.
We decided to have a complete TO from MIL over the past 5 months since Christmas, during which time we had marriage counselling and DH seems to have finally understood that as his wife he has to prioritise me above any other woman in his life (other than his daughters) and this includes addressing any and all of his family's dodgy behaviour towards us.
So we mutually decided to catch up with MIL the day before Mother's Day to give her a card and chocolates.
DH didn't call her today (I did remind him but whatever) and she messaged him tonight. She sent a really long message about how amazing he and our children are, which is sweet. But she ended it with 'blood is thicker than water'.
Is this something to be addressed by him?
