Quick BG: Mil is CO for hiding the fact she has a registered sex offender living with her. While looking up sex offenders in my community, I figured it out on my own after my son had already spent the night a handful of times.
Current: So a couple weeks ago i received a message from SOs cousins wife (she's lovely and knows MIL is BSC). There was a family gathering at my MILs and apparently out in the open for everyone to see, there was a stack of self help books regarding estranged parents of adult children. What made cousins wife message me was the one titled "A Son is a Son til he gets a wife: how toxic daughter in laws destroy families". She also said when MIL saw her looking at it she told her she could borrow so she knows what kind of daughter in law NOT to be.
I finally looked it up on Amazon today though and read some of the reviews. What do you know? Her name was towards the top with a 5 star review and a ridiculous bit about how it helped her so much and she prays for reconciliation with her son and grandsons everyday.
