Okay so DH or DuH and I have started the whole boundaries thing with MIL. I have talked to DH and made him see how he gives our DD up to keep his mom happy. I told him that I do not care for the entitlement and that I do not find it at all necessary for his parents to see our kids as often as they do. Well he is a slow learner and I just know that he is going to fight me tooth and nail to stay on track with this. There is a BBQ tomorrow at his parents for our cousin whose due date is today. MIL messaged me on the debil and asked if we were coming. I will attach how the messages went in the comments. How do I go about keeping DH on board and lessening the "mommy wants our children to herself" sob story?! I really don't want to be a harsh broad because I do want to maintain a civil relationship, but MIL is definitely HBIC of that whole family and everyone knows it. BUT I am HBIC of MY family!
