My mum always pulls this line out, and its always really upset me. I've never been able to put my finger on why this is?
I have background on them here but briefly; parents told my pregnancy news at 10weeks without permission. I rang them up, they were all smart ass about it, I said it was unacceptable and I expect an apology. And that was pretty much that, except for a huge smear campaign, numerous flying monkeys and a horrible txt a month before I was due with my now 10month daughter.
Now awhile back I decided I wanted to ask for my childhood photo albums, I sent a polite simple email asking and got no reply. Followed up with a phone call a month later and left a message. My mum rang back and we 'talked' for half an hour. It's left me with a sense of peace as I realise they will never change, I'll always be the sg and in their minds this whole thing is completely my fault.
So during the phone call my mum comes up with the line 'I know you better than you think'. She's said this for as long as I can remember when we argue and I've never been able to work out why it bugs me so fucken much.
Have any of you heard this particular line before or something similar and if anyone of you wise ladies/men have any useful insights I would really appreciate it.
