My stepmom of 8/9 years cut me off a few months ago. I honestly don't know why -- she cut my sister off too, and she DEFINITELY never did anything to deserve it because she lives many states away and never goes on Facebook. I've asked my dad and he just says "It's not about you" and then changes the subject. I'd ask my stepmom, but she literally won't speak to me if we're together. She actually called my dad on the phone from upstairs while I was visiting after Christmas (my sister was there, or I wouldn't have bothered) so she wouldn't have to come downstairs to talk to him and be forced to see me. All I know is she doesn't speak to me anymore and I'm blocked on Facebook.
My dad has started pulling away, too. He blew me off at Thanksgiving when I was trying to make plans. I only saw him at Christmas and my birthday because SM was visiting family out of state and my sister was visiting. Then SM came back and refused to say a word to me. It was like I don't exist. So, fine. I'll respect the CO. She's not worth chasing, anyway. But I'd like to see my dad in the future. Is that even possible if his wife has cut me off? Should I just count him as a loss and wash my hands of the whole confusing thing?
