My LO's Birthday is coming up and I knew something would be coming very soon in the mail from narc fMIL. Well today 'it' arrived. A letter addressed to my DuH arrived with the following letter: see attached pictures.
DuH and I are absolutely livid! I know all fellow DWIL'ers can see the huge issues with this and won't have big 'ol unicorn eyes thinking how nice this is.
My DuH and I agreed that this was/is a HUGE boundary stomp and we need to address it ASAP. We agreed to say, "No thanks - we already have an account if you wish to send funds for college/university". Help us write an email back to this or other suggestions. I have seen other members write about this sort of thing, but never in my life did I think someone could go into a bank and open a trust account without any proper documentation for the individual they are opening it for (fMIL has no personal documents pertaining to LO - she doesn't even know LO's real name). I can only assume they are doing this for tax credit purposes since they thrive on saving a buck or two, though I really have no idea and it terrfies me.
