Boiling Point

I have never posted here but it has helped me in the last few weeks to put into action some things I am already learning in counseling. I have read the sticky and aware this is not a "support" group. For the past 10 years I have dealt with a lot of resentment toward my inlaws because of their judgement and being hyper critical of me. They have always treated my like an outsider and a wedge between them and their son. I have never stood up for myself until the past 2 years or so only occasionally. My MIL constantly makes offensive comments, ignores me or acts so annoyed when I voice my opinion on anything. Now we have a baby, things started off okay but now that she doesn't get to see him as much as she thinks she should she has been defaming me to my husband and acting even more like a 12 year old. With the help of therapy my husband has starte to finally put his foot down and stick up for me, but our therapist says I have to be the one to speak to her and my hubs has to support me when she turns to him and plays the victim. I realize it is as bad as it is because I have been too passive all this time. DH and I have finally reached a boiling point with recent events and he is sick of being in the middle and having to deal with the nonsense every visit. We are supposed to talk to inlaws today but I don't know how to tell them how I have been feeling all these years without sounding totally crazy. They think everything they do is right and will claim total innocence and deny it all. We have distanced ourselves from them a bit to focus on our own family and that is the most recent issue but there is so much more to it. How do I do this without looking like I'm nuts and what do I do when she denies and/or shifts everything onto me? Lashing out and being disrespectful is not an option as we are trying to mend not break apart even more. Thanks!
