A little background... I have been married for four years. My DH is an only child and my MIL had a hard time when we got married. She didn't care too much for me and we had a strained relationship. Over the past year and a half we've gotten closer and things have been much better. I am 28 weeks pregnant and she was very excited in the beginning about our pregnancy (this will be her first grandchild).
My DH has a cousin that I do not care for at all. She's young and immature and always causes drama at any family event. She claims to be my DHs sister and has recently moved in with my MIL. She has talked trash about me to every family member and tried to object at our wedding. She is fifty shades of crazy. She is now pregnant with twins from a drug addict boyfriend and living my MIL.
I had to go to L&D tonight for complications. We have said since getting pregnant that we only wanted our parents present at hospital stuff. No one else. My MIL shows up with his cousin. I was furious but didn't say anything bc I didn't want to argue then. I want to wait until I've cooled off some but I want to address this with her. My DH doesn't look at this person as a sister in any way and feels the same way as I do. I just don't want to hurt the progress I have with MIL. How should I approach this?
