This is my first DWIL post. My in-laws have a history of needing money and not being able to pay bills. Almost exactly 4 years ago they foreclosed on their house. BIL and SIL have been together for almost 8 years and have been "loaning" them money since they got together. We don't. I made that very clear to my DH since the beginning. Well, no one has for 4 years, tough times hit, and the IL's just asked BIL and SIL for money. They gave it to them. Am I wrong to not help them?
FIL lost his job, whatever, he has had 5 jobs in the 8 years I have been with DH. But I feel like when you have a job you should save and not make wasteful decisions. I am all about helping, not enabling. But I still feel guilty.
